The recorder is an instrument belonging to the woodwind family; the same family as the clarinet and flute.
Learning to play and perform on the soprano recorder is a required portion of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade curriculum.

 

The Need to Succeed
It is best that each student has their own soprano recorder. This allows them the option to practice at home. Recorders come in various makes and models. I suggest that you DO NOT purchase a toy recorder. Students need to play on an instrument that will allow for success.

Mrs. Makowski offers soprano recorders and accessories as part of the fundraising effort for the music room. A Purchase Letter will be sent home.
